The Widow

The "Widows" are an alien species characterized by having four pairs of limbs: the front and the back used for movement, while the central ones more specialized in grabbing objects or prey. They live in deserts, so they have wide legs to run better on the sand, and a very characteristic accumulation of fat (hump) in their lower body, which helps them travel long distances without water or food.
The widow with the most voluminous hump is usually the dominant one, while the rest of the herd tends to show less prominent structure.
It also highlights its jaw, very similar to that of terrestrial spiders, and its spines, which protect its precious energy load and deter larger predators.

They form large herds, and their behavior is very similar to that of African wild dogs.
Its name is given by the black widow, with whom it shares coloration, although not the ability to generate poison.
